Help center › Products & inventory
Add products
Add a product with photos, price, stock and variants, and organize it in categories and collections.
Every product has its own page on your store with photos, a description, the price and the buy button. You create it in Products and can edit it anytime: changes show on your store as soon as you save.
Create a product
- Go to Products and click Add product.
- In Title & description enter the product’s name and its description (bold, lists and links are allowed).
- In Media upload the photos. The first one is the main photo: it’s used in listings, in the card when the link is shared and on Google.
- In Pricing enter the Price. Optionally, a Compare-at price (shown struck through, with the percentage saved) and the Cost, which customers never see and which feeds your margins and purchase orders.
- In Inventory enter the Stock and, if you use them, the SKU and barcode. Turn off Track quantity for digital or made-to-order products; turn on Sell when out of stock to keep taking orders at zero stock.
- In Shipping say whether it’s a Physical product and enter its weight and dimensions.
- Pick its Category and, in Product organization, the Vendor / Brand and Tags (comma-separated).
- In Status leave it Active to show it on your store, or Draft while you finish it. Save your changes.
Sizes, colors and other variants
- In the Variants section click Add options like size or color.
- Enter the option name (for example Size) and its values (S, M, L). You can paste several values separated by commas.
- One variant is created per combination, each with its own price, stock and SKU: fill them in the variants table.
- Save. On your store, customers pick the variant before adding it to the cart.
Categories and collections
- Categories (Products › Categories): the tree customers browse and filter your store by. A category can have subcategories and a product can be in several.
- Collections (Products › Collections): groups to feature, like New arrivals or Sale. Click Create collection and choose Manual (you pick the products) or Automatic: products join on their own by conditions on Tag, Vendor, Title, Price or Category, matching ALL or ANY of the conditions.
- The stock of all your products on one screen: Products › Inventory.
Tips
- Use photos of the same shape (for example, square) so your catalog looks tidy.
- Search engine listing sets the title and description Google shows; left empty, the product’s name and description are used.
- Preview, at the top of the product, opens its page on your store.
- Selling a download? In Shipping turn off Physical product and upload the files in Digital product: your customer gets the download links once the order is paid. Downloadable files come with the Pro plan.
- To add many products at once, use Import products (see Import products).
Common problems
- A product with variants won’t save: every variant needs a price above 0; the notice in Pricing says which ones are missing.
- The product doesn’t show on the store: check that its Status is Active.
- A product with variants keeps its stock per variant: edit it in the Variants section or in Products › Inventory, not in the overall stock.
