Import products

Bring your whole catalog at once from an Excel sheet, Shopify, MercadoLibre or your photos.

If your products are already in a spreadsheet or on another platform, you don’t need to add them one by one. In Products click Import products and choose where they come from.

From an Excel spreadsheet

1. In Products › Import products choose the Excel option.
2. Download the Excel template.
3. Fill in one row per product. The product name and price columns are required, and each product can have up to 2 variant options (for example, size and color).
4. Save the file as .xlsx or .xls (up to 10 MB) and drop it on the upload area.
5. Products are processed in batches of 5 and you see the progress on screen.

From Shopify

1. In Shopify: Products › Export › “All products” › CSV for Excel.
2. In Shopping Master go to Products › Import (Shopify), or Import products › From Shopify › Import CSV.
3. Drop the CSV file (up to 10 MB).
4. Check the preview: how many products are new, which ones share a handle with a product you already have, and the Warnings (for example, products with no price or no image).
5. To update the products you already have instead of duplicating them, turn on Overwrite products with the same handle.
6. Click Import. When it’s done you see the import result, with any rows that failed and why.

From MercadoLibre

1. Connect your account in Settings › MercadoLibre.
2. In Products › Import products click Import from MercadoLibre.
3. Search your listings, select the ones you want and click Import selected: they come with their photos, price and description.

From your photos

Bulk upload products from images takes the photos of several products at once and creates the products from them; afterwards you fill in what’s missing on each one, such as the price and description.

Tips

• Try a file with a few products first and check how they came out.
• Photos in a Shopify CSV are copied to your store: they don’t depend on staying online on Shopify.
• After importing, check the products’ Status: products that were drafts arrive as Draft and don’t show on your store.

Common problems

• “This doesn’t look like a Shopify products CSV”: the file is missing the Handle and Title columns. Export it from Products in Shopify (not from Orders or Customers).
• A product with no price is imported at 0: fix it afterwards in Products.
• “The file is too large”: split it into parts of up to 10 MB.
• “This file was already imported”: choose the file again to import it again; turn on Overwrite products with the same handle so nothing is duplicated.
