Shipping
Store pickup, home delivery at a fixed rate or by zone, meeting points and free shipping.
Settings › Shipping methods is where you choose how customers get their orders. Turn on the ways you deliver: at checkout the customer picks one and its cost is added to the total.
Ways to deliver
- Store pickup: the customer picks up for free at one of your Pickup locations (add one per shop).
- Fixed rate shipping: home delivery at a fixed Shipping rate; Delivery locations let you offer delivery areas with their own cost.
- Meeting points: places where you meet the customer to hand over the order.
- Coordinate with vendor: the customer buys and you agree on delivery; write the Coordination instructions they’ll see.
Rates by zone
- Turn on Fixed rate shipping: zones price home delivery.
- In Region-based shipping zones click Add zone.
- Enter the Zone name (for example Downtown) and, under Regions, the states, cities, countries or postal-code prefixes it covers, comma-separated. For example: California, 900, 941.
- Enter the Rate and, optionally, Free over: the subtotal (after discounts) from which delivery to that zone is free.
- Save. When the customer’s address matches a zone (the first one in the list wins), that zone’s rate is charged; when none matches, the fixed rate applies.
Free shipping
- For one zone: fill in Free over.
- Store-wide: Discounts › Create discount › Automatic discount, of type Free shipping, with a minimum subtotal and dates if you like.
- Either way the minimum is measured on the subtotal after discounts (coupon, automatic discount, payment-method discount or wholesale price). A gift card doesn’t lower it: it’s a way to pay.
Other settings
- Delivery estimate: a line shown on every product, under the buy button (for example, “Delivered in 3-7 business days”). Empty, it isn’t shown.
- Cash payments by delivery method: which ways of delivery accept cash.
- Digital products don’t ask for a delivery method.
Common problems
- A zone doesn’t apply: Fixed rate shipping has to be on, and the region has to match what the customer types (country, state, city or the start of the postal code; case and accents don’t matter).
- The wrong zone is charged: the first match wins. Order your zones from the most specific to the most general.
- The customer sees no way to deliver: turn on at least one.
